Hi
I have been asked to transport 200L barrels of 5w-30 engine oil.
They want to put 120 barrels on a load.
The transport office assures me that it doesn’t require and adr certificate but I am not fully convinced as we all know what transport office staff can be like.
Could anybody clear this up for me please?
Cheers
Can you drop one at my house
Your traffic office are right, no ADR required.
Oh, and as the man above says, if it meets VW 507 spec save me a few bottles
Not ADR…

Hi Jagang,
Oil is not regulated as dangerous goods.
You can carry any amount of that oil without an ADR licence, or anything else in ADR applying to the job.

Stated figures may be slightly smudged , given past history - i dont think you`ll have any problems matching to that marque of vehicle
