I’m 45 at the end of the month but I moved recently and when my licence came back the CE expiry date has changed from 2016 to 2018. I haven’t received a reminder about renewing it or having a medical so is this a loop hole and I can forget it until 2018 or what?

The next D4 medical is now 2018
If this was the first licence issued to you since oct 2012 then it usually gives 5 years from the date of issue so why only 2 extra years is a little baffling 
There is a thread from last December-ish on here on this topic. I had a similar ‘extension’ to mine (which was due last November) as a result of changing my photocard the previous year.
