you do 4 days on and 4 days off as for the rest of your question what do you mean 
Not all firms do it.But if your on that shift pattern.Then yes it’s regular.Your hours are the same for 4 on 4 off as they are for Monday to fri.
one thing to remember with this shift pattern is you can find that your 4 day shift falls across the pay week (if paid weekly) so if the pay week finishes on midnight saturday and your four days on are fri sat sun mon off off off off sat sun mon tue off off off off etc. you only get three days wage in your pay packet, ie sun mon sat/ sun mon tue in the above example = 2 weeks at 3 days pay. if you can put in extra shift at these periods it helps!
Something to bear in mind…As you may or may not know your weekly and fortnightly driving limits are calculated on a fixed week
A fixed week starts 00:00 Monday and finishing 24:00 the following Sunday
…Now bear these times in mind when considering the next bit…
You can extend your driving from 9 hours to 10 hours twice a week…but this is a fixed week so if you say do-
Sat 9
Sun 9
Mon 10
Tues 10
Then you take Wed,Thurs,Fri,Sat off and start again on Sunday,remember that you can’t do another 10 hour drive until Monday.

My ideal job so drop me a line if you don’t want it, 3x15 and 1x13, pay may be less as some weeks will be 3 days work but happy days.
