The drivers look like dwarfs when you see them,is it a design fault,as you only see the head of the driver,or the seat is at the lowest position?

Seat down normally. 1 of our drivers used to have his seat ‘off’ because he didn’t like the bouncy seat, he looked like a child driving a truck and crashed often.
We have 4 CFs i"m about the tallest out of the drivers and i look about 12 when i drive it.one of the other drivers is only 5ft 2 so he looks like a chav baby driving his as he is a curtain hider to lol
i thought you was talking about the stobart gimp, you know the one, he’s married to the stobart ■■■■■■.

Nah, I thought we were talking about Daz
perhaps its to do with the crap seat adjustments, i drive different trucks ( cfs ) now that i
m a part timer, and some of them dont adjust where you want it, its either up so high your feet dont touch the floor, or its so low you can just about see over the dash, with no intermediate position, a design fault maybe, but i dont seem to have any problems with the xf, or Man.

Are you suggesting a design fault from a creationism or evolution point of view?
Please help.
Come to think of it, the lunatic mail have a depot near our place and sometimes they look driver less.
I suspect this is because the cf and xf are very old designs the cf was first introduced around the early nineties, newer vehicles have more of an emphasis on visibility.
I drive a CF, I am 5’ 9" and have the seat as far back and as low as it goes.
I adjust the seat for comfort , and don’t give a hoot what I look like
The auto’s are best, you can stretch your legs out
you really need to see Dazaster driving an XF SuperSpace Cab

Quite simple: DAF CF = The best.
The drivers of such vehicles know this, and don’t need to show off, hence the above statements.
If it ain’t Dutch, it ain’t Much!

Is that not called “Disabled”?
I’m 5 10 but have to have the seat pretty much all the way down, because otherwise I can’t reach the pedals lol. The dafs do make you feel quite wrapped in tho when the seat is down.

I think they prefer the term ‘Vertically Challenged’ to ‘Dwarf’.
I don’t like the seat up, always down for me so I sit low.

Think this is more down to being a crap driver than the seat, to be honest.
My biggest bugbear with the CF is the crap seating position. For the person who said it was down to being a '90s design, that was the old Leyland Daf 75/85 cab and I have no problem with seat position in the Foden version of this, but the CF seat position is crap, unless you like driving with the sun in your eyes because the visors are hopeless without having the seat pumped up. I don’t use the air suspended option as I find it lowers itself for no reason so I eventually find a half decent position and lock it off…
On the subject of Nafs, why is the clutch pedal in such a stupid position (ie pointing straight up)?
Well I’m 5’1" and can just about see out in my CF, although my other half recons that I look like a 10 year old sat in her daddys wagon My seat is driving me crackers at the mo, it will go right up (knees wedged under the steering wheel and can’t reach the pedals) or right down (arse on floor, can’t see out) but won’t always stop in between where I need it. New air valve on order. It amazes me how people can drive sat as low in the cab as some do, I need to be able to see out
Take the annoying centre storage box out and the CF makes a great day cab to sleep in…
