4.2 metres in holland?

am i right in thinking the height limit in holland is 4.2 metres?
and are the abnormal load regs the same as ours?
two loads will be 4.2 metres high on flatbeds, 3 metres wide, and 16 metres long. one load will be on a low loader, so it will be lower, but a bit longer. the reason we will use the low loader, is so one driver can deliver all three loads, then bank two trailers onto the low loader.
so there’s the reload sorted.

thought it was 4 metres maximum

4.0 metres is the maximum height in Holland, you need special permission and diversions for 4.20metres.
You will find out that many a bridge on the motorway is only 4.12metres, but after the first bridge you load will havve the required height :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

In Rotterdam when you come of the ferry, there are alarms on most bridges, and when the alarm goes the barriers come down, and after leaving some pocket money and lowering the load you can go on with it.
Good luck

i need smaller tyres.
cheers.

Depends where your shipping into and where you are delivering, I know we used to come off the boat in Rotterdam at 4.2 for delivery in Ijmuiden but we had to go a long way round to get there

that will need heavy&oversize permit, won’t it?
even if you squeeze it into 4m somehow, you’ll still be 3m wide and whoknows how long…
not sure about escorts though, not familair with dutch regs.
