Right now i know we are not aloud to use the outer lane but am i right in saying we are aloud to use outer lane ie m18 heading south?first lane M1 North other 2 are south so this is now a two lane road so we can use both?
Also at the m6 toll split south bound if im using the toll we can use the outer lane once the board is clear ie first lane m6,2nd lane m6 and toll 3rd lane m6 toll

Yes. When the dividing white lines become short stubby ones with green cats eyes separating the lanes then lane two and three become a separate road and you can treat it as a two lane motorway.
At least I’ve never been nicked doing that anyway.
