Just come up the M1 signs say delays junction 14 to 15 30 mins delay. When I arrived at the back of que put Google maps on that sad 235 mins delay. So where dose the people running the signs get there information from .They were both wrong the delay was 90 minutes.
They think of a number, times it by 3, divide it by the junction number, & subtract the Urine.
To be fair, how can they know what the delay is going to be like, every half hour the situation at any given problem point will change, some routes some times of day no bugger will have a clue how to get around a problem, other times other routes a good proportion of travellers will have the bous to find an alternative so lessening the traffic numbers affected.
Soon as i see a sign like that i double check on the traffic page of the sat nav and if its showing red as against yellow i’m off and find another route, course if you’re past the point of no return when the problem occurs then its just one of those things and you have to sit it out.
I’d like to see more info on the sign but its a difficult one, too much writing and given the number of half wits who sit right up the arse of box lorries, (especially steering wheel operatives in other lorries who should be way above car driver standards) in the split second those berks see the matrix signs they’d never read anything more than a handful of words.
