hello i dunno if any1 looks at this forum but will my inverter be able to handle a small tv/dvd player or small tv w a ps2… been weekend next weekend and would like to take one with me. Thanks also will it run the batterys flat after say 2hrs
300w should be ok to run small tv and a dvd or ps2, just.
I would just use my laptop though, less to carry around for one thing.
Plug in and switch your tv on first, they draw a very high initial surge as they start up. Then plug in and switch on your other bit of kit.
Your truck batteries won’t go flat in 2 hours.
They should be ok for the whole weekend. If they are a bit old and tired you could run your engine for a couple of hours, to give them a boost, on Sunday afternoon or evening.
An inverter usually has a cut-off switch built in. If your batteries get a bit too low your inverter should cut itself off (getting low but still with enough juice to start your truck, not getting too low to run whatever is plugged into it).
