Load of old tosh, training companies are struggling the same as everyone else and will say anything to get you to sign up and hand over your hard-earned cash with the promise of a non-existant glut of vacancies. :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Bit like a jobcentre advert which says LGV C+E driver required no experience needed £30,000 pa. :open_mouth:

They’re trolling up here as well.

Must be desperate as it’s up to £35,000 p/a. :unamused:

Edit, thought you’d only need Cat B/D1 for LDV…

Didn’t I declare this ad a scam last week? :open_mouth:

Or did mod delete my post?

…You try and find out where ANY of their yards with lorries are…
My suggestion is they don’t actually exist, but they get away with it by verbally pointing people to legit outfits that have nothing to do with the advertiser.

No one signing up for a LGV course should part with any case before they’ve visited the yard, met the staff, met the trainer who’s going out with you, and most importantly checked with DVLC and Companies house to see if they are “known & reputable”. Once you’ve done that, you’ll also realise there’s no need to set up course via a third party which these adverts seem to pertain to.

so there must be at LEAST 15000 motors parked up somewhere with no one to drive them. bollox.

Good, that must mean all the immigrants are going back, about flooking time as well.

It’s just another broker trying to get gullible people to sign with them instead of booking direct with a HGV training school !

Do you want to earn up to £35,000 per annum?. Did you know there was currently a shortage of HGV/LGV drivers in the UK?. Why should you train with us?. Courses from only £1099. 45 training centres across the UK. Registered by the RHA (Road Haulage Association) and the FTA (Freight Transport Association). In house recruitment team waiting…

I thought i post this to put a smile on some of your face’s!

Cat c driver I know phoned me up said agency he is on for said if he had class 1 they would have loads more work and much better rates and asked what I thought as he was going to borrow money to upgrade. I said I recon there stringing you on to keep you sweet as I know loads of class1 drivers struggling for work and from what I read here rated ain’t a great deal better unless it’s a panic job.

Don’t know how many times i’ve heard this old garbage over the years. Any vacancies are soon filled by experienced drivers that have been made redundant. Not what you know but who you know.

RHA and FTA, silver associates, my cat can be a member, …actually, I think he is…!!!

Ask them to pay for his training then and he’ll pay it back… :grimacing:

Agency’s are the scum of loads of trades but as far as I’m aware lots of the big boys recruit through agency’s. Luckily I’ve never worked on agency and hopefully never will.

These types of adverts should be banned. It’s simply flagrant lies which seems to be the accepted norm in this industry at the moment.

I had one post deleted if I recall for actually coming right out and naming a bunch of crooks… I thought it was to do with this ad which is posted all over the net at legit agencies who obviously don’t know any better. Was the deleted post to do with that mickey mouse delivery outfit then?
