30 points and still driving!

Thoughts on a post card please??

I’d never find a postcard big enough :open_mouth: I bet there were no “working” people in that list - they’ll either be footballers, ‘celebrities’ or businessmen who can afford barristers :imp:

If they banned him I could have his job and it would keep me out of personal hardship, a part of my taxes could help to support him :stuck_out_tongue:

I was born in Burnley and know Blackburn well as its 12 miles away, they is a section of society there which are male, between 20-30 years of age, and also use prayer mats which face east, they are also the ones responsible for the increase in all these staged accidents where 5 occupants all have whiplash injuries. I suspect the news reports belong to the same group.

I’d say the opposite.

quote…between 20-30 years of age, and also use prayer mats which face east,

I had one of those sail with me on a ship, he came to the wheelhouse at prayer time one day to see which way the ship was heading so to adjust his mat accordingly… after he left I turned the ship around and headed in another direction…

I’d disagree, I knew a taxi driver where I used to work who had 27 points. But all were for speeding (except 3 which were for a traffic light offence at around 3am :unamused: )

BUT, after 12 points, if he got done for speeding, then he got £1000 fine PER mph!!!

So, at 43mph in a 40, he got a 3 grand fine + court costs + 3 points. His insurance was stupid too, I told him a few times to take the ban (on the totting rules) and get his licence ‘reset’, it’d be cheaper.

Even the boss was sick to death of going in defending him, he kept saying it was part of the job, but I had a clean licence and did more hours / jobs than he did.

I do try and stick to the speed limits. I’ve tried 6 points (speeding) and 9 points (having just passed my car test) and neither are any fun. However, I do know that other drivers don’t like me doing 40 on an A road and it frustrates them that I am sticking to the law (and I do pull over when I get the chance to let them pass) but with so many cameras these days it simply isn’t worth attempting it. So much easier to be stress free and not speed, wouldn’t you agree?
