30 lift trailers?

Just been in Morrisons Burton Latimer, and they got there new 30 lift trailers ready to use. i noticed they have no long vehicle plates fitted to the rear of the trailers. i pointed this out to a manager that was hanging around them looking pleased with his new kit. his response was they don’t need them which i informed him surly they do but he was having none of it. Who’s right him or me■■?

If it has a red fluorescent strip across the back of the trailer, perfectly legal although I think it may need a fluorescent strip on the outline of the rear end.

Will have a read at my next RDC no doubt i will be board there. just seen an NYK one and that had red square and long vehicle plates double warning. It did struggle to get out of the line up at Tibshelf with the rear swing.
