Spotted a couple of these in EU, but never seen in UK, maybe I’m not looking hard enough, a normal box type wagon, normal single front, but 3 rears look odd, guess 32t ? Wonder what it hauls, Gold bullion?
Here’s one I see regularly…wheelerstransport.com/wp-con … -00150.jpg
Very common here in Canada.
Saw one last week in Avonmouth
Seen quite a few as feed wagons.
Tridems. Wynnstay have some and I’ve seen some as dustcarts run by trade waste firms.

We got some too; bulk blowers and curtainsiders.
Basically, you get the manouverability of a 6-wheeler ( in fact better with the rear-steer) together with the payload of an 8-wheeler; plus the double drive. Brilliant bits of kit.

Is there any issue with front axle overloads? If not why aren’t they common with mainstream tipper fleets?

With bulk blowers, the feed’s carried in four or five compartments; hence the door locks you see in the driver’s side. Once you’ve blown the feed off at the first farm, you open the door so that the load spreads backwards, thus evening out the axle loading. Generally the smaller compartments are at the front.
Tridems usually have bigger wheels on the front axle which also helps.
Mainstream tippers are usually carrying one full load to one drop, and furthermore they don’t usually have the problem of manouvering narrow farm accesses. I’d suggest that initial cost is what discourages most from buying them.
