2nd January !!!

Can’t believe I’ve hoovered the house, washed my car, cleaned out the rabbit, put the Christmas tree and decorations back in the loft, washed up and I’m about to sort out dinner for when Mrs Muckaway gets home with Mini Muckaway.
This was meant to be a day off!

Its amazing if i take a day off i get a list of chores so long im glad to go back to work for a break

I was board of being at home, then got into work today and no jobs for the wagon just two local drops so I used the van
Board in work now till next week too :unamused:

Back into work today, had a couple of local drops and the steering developed a bit of a “graunchy noise”.
Got back to the yard, tilted the cab to top up the power steering reservoir, put the cab back down and the display says cab lock not engaged .Tried several times to lock the cab down to no avail.
Great frecin start to the new year . . wagons in the workshop tonight.

DAF by any chance?!?!?

Back in the 6th, but I’ll pop in tomorrow to make sure nothing has been “appropriated” from the lorry over the Christmas period.

Came into work one year to find every windscreen had been smashed by a brick…

Yes.
Could tolerate the warning on the display but the audible warning was doing me head in . had to turn the radio up a couple of notches!!

Been there done that and sadly got that t shirt :smiling_imp: it is the worst noise I have ever heard.

At my previous job we had a DAF that would give you a day of it just for funzies…Since the gaffer was a tight ■■■ he wouldn’t get it fixed because “it was obviously just a sensor glitch”.

I averaged less than 100kms a year in that afterwards because I couldn’t deal with it. First time it happened to me going down the road it nearly scared me out the bloody window I jumped that high!

Well ! today I’ve given Lady ‘V’ a lift to work to Dunstable (30 mile round trip in my Thirsty Jeep, more than a Gallon of Diesel) Had 2 teeth filled, tidied around my ‘Puter’, fixed/replaced a Bog seat, prepared dinner for tonight, collected Lady ‘V’ from work (another 30 mile round trip in the 2.8 ltr Jeep, another Gallon of Government Tax !) then cooked dinner tonight & made Butties for tomorrow !

So glad I’m back to work tomorrow :unamused:

Bah Humbug ! Can’t wait till next year :imp:

We get a higher rate of pay on the 2nd of jan too

I can remember when new years day was a regular work week, it was only the fact that nobody actually went to work that they made it a holiday

went in today but don’t think the 3rd is a go cos the 8" of snow and with the wind drifting more snow , its now just under 2ft up the garage door, oh well maybe the plowers come maybe not.
