can anybody tell me if it is correct that if you now have a 24hr rest you dont have to make up the difference anymore by the third week as long as you have at least 45 the next week? if that makes sense!! that is what ive been told anyway because i cant find anything vosa website or anywhere else.

other drivers said it had changed. i still made it up to be on the safe side. didnt know if there was anywhere you could check for amendments or updates on current legislation
You have to make the weekly rest up, you dont have to make reduced daily rest up
For example, where a driver reduces a weekly rest period to 33 hours in week 1, he must compensate
for this by attaching a 12-hour period of rest to another rest period of at least 9 hours before the end of
week 4. This compensation cannot be taken in several smaller periods.
Have a read of this, especially pages 16 to 18.
