Also in resus is Kevin, a 55-year-old trucker who jack-knifed his lorry, ‘bullseyed’ the windscreen and rolled down a verge. He was trapped in the wreckage for an hour before being cut free and air lifted to King’s by the Kent air ambulance. He has injuries to his pelvis, neck and head. His wife Janet waits anxiously to find out how serious it is.

I know Kevin too he used to work driving my truck on a agency relief when i ran the office
Again all i can say he was a lovely bloke never ever damaged my truck
I think he now drives a crane in Harwell Lab.

that’s on the a21. I wondered what had happened there. would love to know how he jack knifed it there as its a fairly steep hill
I don’t know Kevin but he came across as a nice bloke. I’ve often wondered what’ll happen,god forbid, if the same happened to me. What happens to all your stuff out of the lorry?, do they transfer you to a local hospital?, will my missus be more pleased to see me than Kev’s was?

Exactly what Mrs Socketset said - the wife wasn’t exactly tearful clutching a hanky and saying " Darling are you alright?" 
looked pretty bad. 4 on demand is always useless. could only watch it till the first ad break then it packed up 
said he hit the kerb, but there isn’t one there. must of dug in the verge. gives you some idea of how fast and violent a jackknife must be 
best of luck to him whatever he is doing now. could so easily have paralised himself or sommat

yeah i heard him mention the kerb, then looked at the pic’s, saw the moffet on an empty curtainsider, i used to carry a moffet about on live haul and they were bad enough when you had empty cages on never mind a load of fresh air! been pushed round a couple of times in the ice - once when i’d took my sister for a ride out lol(going dead slow on both occasions though), if his wheel dug in then i can fully appreciate how this might have happened. cant help feeling for him, he does seem a nice chap.
