2015 Iveco Stralis NOx Measuring Sensor Non Plausable

Hi All,
I have a 2015 Iveco Stralis that has 2 codes coming uo

  1. NOx Measuring Sensor Non Plausible Signal
  2. The Nitrogen Oxides threshold has been exceeded due to failure in the NOx sensor.

Both these codes point me to the NOx sensor but given it it is $1000 AUD i thought i would see if anyone else has any ideas before i fork out the money.

Cheers,
Nick

Code description says heater circuit at fault?

“I have an Iveco”
We feel your pain.
Fact is that with an Iveco, the fault could be anywhere on the vehicle, or, equally likely, no where at all. Is it threatening to downrate? If so then looks like a1k part, if not, crack on. It’ll probably display a different fault after tea, then another one before bed.
Sorry for all the negativity. Sadly it’s justified.

On many vehicles the diagnosis system can’t differentiate between a faulty sensor and a bad connection/damaged wiring leading to it.
Can the sensor be checked in any way?
Any chance of checking the wiring carefully?

Generally a heater fault will be a sensor ,

We had some iveco similar fault, iveco said it’s ad-blue quality ■■? Volvo and scarnia’s use same stuff.

Im not suggesting you get the adblue set up mapped out, but do you actually need this in Aus?

All the wiring up to the sensor appears to be in good condition, so i have ordered a sensor

Thanks for all the replies, replaced the sensor and fault has gone away. Hopefully it doesnt come back

its good you have a result
