If he’d have been on (certain sections of) an autobhan, this wouldn’t be a story.
Either we all go limitless (on certain sections) or Germany should come into line with the rest of Europe.
Two hundred miles an hour in a stolen car on the public highway? Taking photos of the speedometer?
Just stand there lad while I throw the book at you

Methinks…
Jail time.
For agrivated vehicle theft - Magistrates 6 months max, crown court 2 years unless you cause death by dangerous driving then its 14 years max. Not sure about the speeding as I think thats classified as a “basic offence” whereas the agrivated bit is dangerous driving + stealing on top.
Very long driving ban no doubt.
he get a prison sentence.
and while inside he will be rehabilitated and come out with a nice new hgv license as part of the government response to the driver shortage

He’ll obvioulsly be driving a NuMAN.
I’m a card carrying member of the 200mph club. Elvington airfield on the infamous “for rent” Hayabusa & clocked at 203.8mph.
Definately not for the faint of heart. One of my only regrets in life is not following that up & going for 300mph, but that was prohibitively expensive for me.
In many ways I think those doing extreme speeds are a lot more safer on our roads than those doing moderate speeds & not really “aware” of their situation !
Did you take 1 hand off of the handlebar to take pix of your speedo at 200?
Somewhere out there, is a traffic planner, who’s wishing they could make trucks travel at 200mph to match the ETA on their computer screen… then reprimand the driver on their return for poor fuel economy…
