Hi, just bought a daf cf 75 250 demount outfit off silent night for furniture removals and i have just noticed that there are 2 sets of 2 batteries. The other set just seem to link inti a loom of wires. Any guesses to what they are for? Its just that i could do with a set on merc atego if they arent needed.
Also need a removal ramp or vehicle loading ramps for this daf truck. Anyone know where to get them cheap? Seem to be v expensive new!!

They had them fitted as they had a 240 volt inverter in the pod which was wired into the spare set so that the main batteries could always start the engine.
I suppose this makes sense! I take it they have a wire coming from alternator to keep them charged? So i can take them out and use them in my other truck? Wont be using the socket in the pod much anyhow

They should have some sort of split charge relay affair if they’ve been fitted professionally to save isolating the starting pair manually when parked up and ensure the auxiliary pair only start charging after the primary starting set have fully charged first when driving.
