No wonder truck drivers have the reputation they do of being nothing more than scum of the earth

And when were you ever called a professional not in this lifetime, 60 years old sure hes a baby should be well able to look after himself
With the below level of people working in this game im surprised there are not a lot of drivers getting there head kicked in
Maybe it should be happening more it might sort out the wasters
You’re only a “professional” when you’ve done something wrong…
I don’t understand the seemingly sarcastic topic title
A lorry driver gets assaulted and you insinuate he’s unprofessional because he got assaulted
i hate to think what you would have made of him if he’d had the audacity to get murdered

Yeah, I thought this too. Still not sure how allegedly being assaulted makes you ‘scum of the earth’

This isn’t…
The first ever punch up between two lorry drivers.
Two guys having a disagreement and settling it with a roll around doesn’t affect their ability to drive the motor

Agreed.
I assume something happened earlier, but it doesn’t seem like 2 drivers brawling in the street, more the driver getting attacked.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a lorry driver in his 60s was allegedly assaulted in Fincham last week.
Officers say the incident happened at 10am on Monday, February 17 when the victim, who had been driving a 40-tonne lorry along the A1122 near Fincham, came to a stop close to the High Street.
A man from another stationary lorry is reported to have stepped out of his vehicle and approached the victim, before punching him in the face.
The victim suffered bruising, and the suspect was reported to have returned to his lorry before it drove away.
The suspect’s lorry is described as a white, 3-7 tonne lorry, towing a cherry picker.
theres your sign right there…
wrong description on the o/p post.
1 lorry driver got a slap from another non lorry driver driving a non hgv vehicle towing a cherry picker.
it was in norfolk,so mabey he just gave him a six fingered smack across the face.

Of course it does, there’s nothing that can happen on the road that should lead to professional drivers getting into a scrap.
Oh hang on one of them was a van driver, class 1 jealousy [emoji2957]

I once saw about six big burly Russian drivers having a full on punch up and they worked for the same firm , i was parked up a service station near Le Mans , they got their wooden trailer boards out knocking each with that then some heavier weapons such as wheel braces .
They then cut some air lines with knives so i called the old bill while hiding behind my spit curtain in the cab , one of them saw me on the phone and gave me a look of " Do not worry, we will not attack you ." Must have been on the Moonshine .
In the case have the two pro`s , maybe one of them slept with his Mrs .

How dare a van overtake my big lorry. Il show him. Van driver gets out. Lorry driver shouts im king of the road. Punch in the jaw from van driver who has held class 1 for years and decided to drive a smaller vehicle for better money.
Oops.

Eurotrans , i also heard of the famous fisty cuffs or handbags at dawn with the Murfits drivers , the now closed BP truck stop at Saint Andre de Cubzac North of Bordeaux was known for fights between drivers of the same company after too many sherberts .
MJM would frequent the " Cabbage Patch " , there was a lady of the night in the truck park with an old banger car , that would offer a cab experience , she was called Stella , a good looking lass with long brown curly hair .
Fighting was common between artic and rigid drivers from the same firm .
