Strong winds
2 portakabins blown off a truck on the M8 at hillington this morning too. I know there was a weather warning for the rain, but I don’t remember seeing one for the winds today.
What about the trucks that have been blown over on the A66■■
Radio was saying they had ‘ignored’ the warning signs that were being displayed…
Or were they?
Were the signs switched on in time??

2 of ours went over the 66 today with empty deckers. They said it wasn’t closed but they got as far as the stainmore cafe and had to park up till the wind calmed down a bit. Thought they were going over. I hear its been closed to all vehicles since then.

Yeah but who the ■■■■ listens to signs? I mean obviously you expect it to be a bit bum twitchy when you go past open area or a bridge, but you wouldn’t expect to go sideways…
Maybe it’s just me, and I’ve only driven rigids so far.

No one, they read them.
I don’t think it was closed, was talking to another driver who went across after the three had went over and there hadn’t been any signs to say it was closed. He did say it was a tad breezy. Was closed to everything around tea time earlier, which buggered up my dinner plans.
