2 Child Cap

I don’t get this, they are saying they need labour in the country but yet they want to put you off having more than 2 kids

Ok I understand that there are people who will and are using the system but is it not a bit extreme in regards to the future

Maybe i read it totally wrong because they can get instant labour with the open border thing and they don’t need to worry about future population

It can’t be good for the future of being British

Our government had a three kids campaign, one for mum, one for dad and one for the country.

That made me think the third child would have to join the army at 16!

Personally I think if you can’t afford to have more than one child then don’t have them. I don’t agree with people getting child benefits as a given right. A guy at work has a combined income of £100k + and still gets child benefit. I think that’s disgusting and should be stopped. I totally support a 2 child cap

That’s fine less population means less demand for resources. So obviously that means no excuse for importing more people.

I was my parents’ only one but not by choice birth trauma and injury stopped my Mum being able to have any more.Because of that they never got any child benefit because in true Socialist style they got nothing for the first/only one.

While my Dad got called a militant for asking for the wages to pay for me and a mortgage and the taxes to pay for social housing and child benefit for others.

Then they tell us we need immigration to replace the indigenous low birth rate.

On BBC finance they had a mum claiming great hardship as their benefit had been stopped as HMRC thought they’d emigrated. Yes they’d been abroad, but only for M,D and the 3 children on a 5 day trip to New York🙈 WTF.

In a housing crisis 2 children means asking or needing a 3 bed property. Maybe means test for 1 child, but if they really want more then the self fund it.
Current government is about ways to tax more rather than truly reduce expenditure - and that’s one seriously sensible idea going forward.

There trying cut down the benefits bill. And one way to make a saving.
Apparently our taxes will be going up soon.
So people who don’t work should also get a pay cut seen as we are.

Don’t know how much you get for kids but if the woman above with kids can afford a week away in New York it must be a lot of money.
In my opinion something should be done about the benefits families receive. If they can afford luxury holidays there obviously getting to much cut there benefits and will force a lot of people into work.

If everyone had 10 kids they’d still say we needed mass immigration , there drugged on it

Mixed feelings on this..

Yeah I get the if you can’t afford kids don’t have them, but as ever they put limits on the wrong (type of) people, those who regularly work and contribute get penalised.

Yeah you guessed where I’m going with this ,…..thousands arrive here illegally every week on the scrounge posing as refugees, with no rights, and they get every bloody thing going foc no question.

In times past the children’s allowance was a given right, it was seen as the government investing in the future and be seen to support it

That’s all changed now, at one time if you had enough kids you could pay your mortgage with it

It was a simble of the government and country and everyone got it regardless of your circumstances and it was never means tested

Kids are everybody’s future so why shouldn’t the government contribute

Don’t need kids when we’ve now got A.I

Best to be born either filthy rich or dirt poor, anywhere in-between and it’s pay pay pay all of the way.

Strong possibility of a base rate tax increase coupled to a strong possibility of scrapping the two child family allowance cap. Hmmm I wonder which prospective voters that’s aimed at?

Clue; prodigious breeders and claimants.

One presenter on LBC last night was all in favour of scrapping it, more or less encouraging folk to start popping more of them out. Pric k

He was a stand in I think, never heard him before.

I heard reform want to scrap it as well
