1st day done

Well my 1st days training was today and I can happily say it went 10 times better than I expected!

6 days more and hopefully it will pass time!

Don’t want to get too cocky yet but I am buzzing for rest of week

6 days? :open_mouth: How much is that costing?
I thought the norm was 3.5 half days, with a test equating to about 4 days half days…
And don’t worry day 2 will be far better, I showered my instructor in broken glass on day 2! :grimacing:

Good luck, are you learning 1:2 tuition or 1:1 for that?

The main thing with a rigid is anyone can drive one really, it is more just being comfortable with the size of the vehicle and learning you need more room for manoeuvres and getting used to using your mirrors a lot more especially when going backwards and judging distances in the mirrors.

Yeah its 1:2

So far its been easy tbh! Not getting cocky or getting ahead of myself but within the first couple hours me and my driving partner had been on the road we both are very comfortable with the truck and driving it!

Done reverse manoeuvre this morning and aced it so aslong as I keep going the way I am it should be plain sailing [emoji108][emoji108]

Fair enough I forgot about 1:2
Good luck!

I did my cat C out Redditch way in a G reg Merc I think it was, had 1:2 tuition for it myself as boss was paying and I passed first time after driving for 8 years previously to taking my test. I thought I would fail due to far too many bad habits but it was all gravy.

I am sure you will be fine and look forward to hearing you say “I’ve passed”
