i used to work with a guy whose wife did this, he left the house at 3.30 am for a 4.00 am start 5 days a week, and she made his breakfast before he left.
i belive she came from a mining family/ community and that was the way they looked after their men . i used to ask if she had a sister ,lol, but no luck.

Mine has always got up with me, makes me a coffee,.and some wraps or sarnies to take with me. 
Always a can of beer when I walk in at the weekend,.and meal soon after.

My missus always got up with the alarm no matter what time it was and did my packing up, flask and some breakfast cereal while I was washing and dressing. She could crack on with her housework then before she went off to work. A meal would be ready after work as well, although if I was held up on a surfacing job before mobile phones were around and got home late it would sometimes be past it’s best! I never dared complain though haha!
