188 mph in a Scania

YES, 188mph … that’s what the little sign said as I approached it on New Road in Kendal last night in a 420 Scanny,… one of them signs that light up saying “your speed” …
I’m pleased it wasn’t a copper standing there with a hand held device,
honest constable, I was only doing 28…
Gonna try for 200 tonight…

I don’t think there is a bit of tarmac long enough anywhere in world to get a scania up to 188mph! Lol.

Hi Trukkertone,
When I travel along New Road , the sign usually shows 28 or 29 m.p.h. :sunglasses:  , and it is quite a true accuracy when displaying . However , as your Scania cannot attain such momentum along the meandering stretch of New Road, Kendal, then perhaps your attention was averted for a couple of seconds.

Now , can I throw some light into the reading of 188 m.p.h. ?

It appears that you were being overtaken by…wait for it,…■■■■■■■■ Gill in his Fiat Punto.
Maybe he`s starting to venture further afield from Fletchertown/Waverton/Wigton.
Possibly he was heading to look for a former haulage depot situated between Crooklands and Milnthorpe. :unamused:

You were very lucky that the turbulence did not affect the stability of your 420 Scania.
Ill now have to be careful that C.G. does not pass me when Im driving my Ford Focus Estate. :unamused:

Drive carefully , Trukkertone,

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Would this former haulage depot happen to have been associated with red and white trucks?
