I went straight from the buses onto class 1
Good for any 18yr old wannabee. However, before they get excited I think insurance will be their biggest hurdle. We know that most Insurers require the driver to be over 25 years old and have held their HGV licence for over 2 years. Unless the EU passes a directive addressing this requirement, which I can’t see happening, then the many of the new 18 year old HGV may have a very long wait, potentially upto 7 before they can put their vocational licences into use.
