I have been on here a few times in the past. I have been caught speeding and gained 4 points I hold my hands up I was being an idiot.
I know I may get some abuse for this but do think I have ruined my chances of drving an artic anytime soon?
Thanks
Normally 4 points would not be an issue BUT I suspect if still within your first 2 years of car driving then many might not want you as its 4 out of 6 and not 4 out of 12
At 18, you cant have been driving 2 years. So as ROG said, it’s 4 out of 6. For any 18 year old it’s a challenge to get started. But bars are being lowered all the time as there are fewer drivers in the pool for the employer to choose from.
You certainly haven’t increased your prospects with the points. I would try and present it as “I was a silly young kid who got caught, but I’ve learnt my lesson and certainly aint taking no chances now”.
A good attitude will help counteract age. Having your CE will probably mean you might get a CAT C job. Try and find an employer who runs C and CE and that should help with progression.
Expect to start right at the bottom. Take what’s offered to gain experience.
Just think, at 21 you could have 3 years under your belt (and a clean licence).
