I’m going to asda dartford with a 15’9 to 16ft trailer
loaded with 44 pallets and returning empty to doncaster.
I dont see any problems getting there but comeing back
im looking for the best route.
Someone said they think you can use the right hand lane
going through the dartford tunnel but that looks like its 15’9
im my truckers atlas as they do it when the bridges closed.
they said high vehicles get taken through following an ■■■■■■
vehicle as you have to watch out for the roof vents.
As anyone on here took a 16ft trailer through dartford tunnel
also what’s the price before 10pm as after 10pm its free right?
I’ve since done this a few times since my original post on the subject.
When in the right hand lane, it doesn’t hurt to keep pretty central right on the white lines as well, just in case you cut a corner too tight and clip your top left corner against the tapering roof!
The guys at the tollbooths will be waving you to “keep right” as you go through anyway.
The 15’9" warning flashes up on the overhead gantries if and when the right hand bore is closed.
Got caught once doing a harlow-corby-maidstone-harlow run for comet when the right bore was shut on a Saturday night. Had to do the whole 25 back. Put about 2 hours on the job

You’ll know when the right hand bore is closed by the Matrix boards with a height limit showing!
Funny this as I did it on Saturday got over to the Centre right toll boths to go through 2 nd tunnel and got held at toll boths as I had set height alarm of then they let me through after I explained that I knew I had a high trailer.
