15 people in back of lorry, man arrested

Looks like people in lorries are going to be the latest thing the media likes to do a story on. Here we go again…

15 people found in lorry and man arrested near Chippenham bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-w … e-50326904

Chippenham!?!?!?!
That’s miles away from any port. Why would he have decent ven them so far from their port of entry if that’s what’s actually happened? Like Woody, I would have stopped at the earliest opportunity and dumped them.
Something fishy about this one.

Happens all the time. Often not “discovered” until the lorry gets to its destination delivery point.

By which time those inside have ■■■■ and pished all over the trailer and load. :imp:

I love reading these posts by people who have never, had the bad experience of finding clandestines in the trailer, having experienced it not a nice affair, you don’t know they are there until you stop after leaving Dover, so if your heading up the way that might be 3-4 hours, and when you realise you have unwelcome cargo, your thinking O ppoooh, then the plod turn up,and all hell breaks loose until you can prove you had no knowledge of them, it is not a nice place to be for 2+ hours,.

Be hearing more these stories since the 39 that died.
As be a clamp down on this for a while. Case of to.little to late.
But always the way in this.country something bad happens then they clamp.down for a.while.
Although these people.are coming from abroad so surley the checks and liability should be at the overseas ports ferry terminals they should all be checked there 1st

Any Relation to Hughes or Harrison?

Looks like he had his hazardous materials board on,was he trying to kill them or was it for the human waste he was expecting to find when he opened the doors

the “discovery” usually dont take place till it dawns on the great unwashed inside the trailer that by looking at google maps on their refugee spec smartphones that the truck is passing birmingham or derby or wherever they have been told to head for that all of a sudden they are in dire straits and need rescued so its a 999 to plod by them,or whoever is following the truck in the van.
thats why theres so many get tipped out at hilton park or stoke area.
this kind of discovery would imply the driver would be unaware if it was a 999 to alert the authorities.
if it was being watched from pickup or entry point, then itl not go well for the driver as anything similar to woodys lot will be completely ott crucified compared to normal now.

Delaney are an old and respected company, be surprised if they were involved

if even the driver was involved then he wouldnt be parked up waiting on plod when they wernt dead,he would just have parked up somewhere handy, waited till nobodys looking, opened the door and watch them scurry away.

Thought the same thing. See them regularly over here.

I think every Irish fridge truck will be under suspicion from now on rightly or wrongly.

every cloud has a silver lining.
when they are concentrating on looking for taliban in the back, then the tacho head might not be the number one target for a while.

We all pay for the Border Guard and personal experience has told me they are useless. This lorry and others would have been expected to undergo at least two inspections, one in France
and one here.Understandable that the French might not want to reveal their find, might even turn a blind eye but our muppets in the Border Guard well perhaps it’s time the massive
fines are dumped on them.I do remember our Customs &Excise officers, hell you couldn’t get away with an extra carton of ■■■■ and I have met them, very unhappy men/women today.
It has to stop, why should my industry take full responsibility,we seem to have money for loads of Mickey Mouse ideas, time every port had the people to turn out every lorry however
it is done. But we know it won’t happen.

Doubt Delaney are involved in trafficking.
They’re local to me and have a very solid reputation.
Renowned to be a good company to work for, neve see them advertise jobs.

So true…the problem is rife throughout business (private and government) today.
People who know what they are doing are hated and feared by those who don’t know what they are doing, hence are either paid to leave or pushed out by fair means or foul.
And yes, I do know what I’m talking about here from personal experience. As Armagedon and a few others will recognise!

no loss whatsoever to society there.
im sure there will be a queue of guards taking turns to ■■■■ on his grave.
there will be a good few rats scurrying around now trying to break any contact before the knock comes tho their door.
on the other hand,
the quins and ll involved there are also just a scummy bunch of criminals with suits and ties on.
