Would any of you guys/girls know the max amount amps you can connect to the 12v plug on a Volvo FM12. I was thinking of connecting a coolbox and sat nav at the same time or maybe one could plug into 24v depending which models I buy. Back on the road again after 10 years and don’t fancy blowing any fuses or equipment Phone charger is another… so maybe a three way adaptor to buy? Value your experience. Thanks.
Look in the fuse box and see what fuse is used for the 12 volt socket, I think the socket in the Volvo is rated at 10 amps but best to check. Almost all Sat Navs, and certainley all the popular brands run on 12 or 24 volts. all mobile phone chargers will run on 12 or 24. The Sat Navs and the phones are typically 5 volts and the leads incorporate a dropper which can take either 12 or 24 and drop it to 5.
