12 volt inverter

Does anyone know if a 12volt 1500 watt inverter will run a 700 watt microwave

Maybe just, but i’m guessing really. As far as i know the 700 watts of the microwave relates to its output and not whats needed to run it.

Just about, but a 2kw inverter would be better.

A typical microwave oven rated at 700W output will draw something like 1200W from whatever power source it is using (be it mains, inverter or generator). So it should be OK with a 1500W inverter. Best to check the specs of the oven you intend to use though.

Yea, fine to run both, lappy will be about 150w, cooler will be about 70w.

Well, here’s a 12v 40 litre coolbox from Halfords and it’s rated at 47 watts.

But there will be a sticker on it somewhere telling you the wattage.
