Well despite the best efforts of the police, the judge and the prosecution service to convict this man for having the temerity to protect his own property, the 12 good men and true took just 20 minutes to throw the case out.
Good on them.
Maybe they have as much faith in the police and their ‘inquiries’ as the rest of us
Proper justice. ■■■■ the police, pricks are never around when you need them and do ■■■■ all when they DO eventually turn up. Well done Mr Woodhouse, and shame on you you pathetic excuse for a police force
Shouldn’t Andrew Woodhouse have cowered in his home and rung for the police in the current lunatic asylum that is Britain, who might have turned up at some point and given him a crime number, and possibly even patronisly advised him about better locks etc…seriously though i know its not the way real coppers would like to do things, but its time they stood up and were counted too.
Well done Mr Woodhouse for doing the right thing, i’m pleased for you that there exists some common bloody sense in the good people of South Wales who served on the jury.
I wonder if the jury members will be earmarked for re-education, shouldn’t they have done the CPS’ bidding after all ?, this will never do…
What makes it even more insulting is that the two thieves were given just a £75 fine, when a motorist who strays a few mph above the speed limit receives a £100 fine.
The Police just aren’t interested in the little man, the sole purpose of their existence is to protect the landowning/rentier/ aristocracy class from the peasants and a re-run of the French revolution.

I love the picture of the thieving scroat in hospital with both his legs knackered I would’ve done the same and sod the consequences. Maybe even go as far as smashing their hands and fingers to pieces with a lump hammer so they couldn’t do it again.
Says it all about our police and CPS though when a fella protects what is rightfully his but the old bill decide he is in the wrong and the CPS run their hands in glee, all to no avail in the end though! old school police would’ve saved the fella a job and done it for him.
Good on mr woodhouse and the jury who showed some common sense. If my car alarm was going of on my drive I wouldn’t grab the phone and ring the police, I’d pick up a snooker cue and stop it getting thieved there and then. When you work bloody hard for something that these cretins take for free why the ■■■■ should you feel scared to protect it incase of the consequences, the whole prosecution is a load of bs in the first place.

And don’t forget the snooker cue just happened to be at the top of the stairs and you picked it up as you passed. If anyone broke in to my house they won’t get out in one piece

I couldn’t get an argument in there with a crow bar!
Dave the Renegade:
Tony Martin should have been found not guilty the same as this bloke. All they were doing was protecting what was rightfully theirs.
completely agree dave. tony martin should have got a bloody reward not porridge…
Would you have the Police make the decision not to prosecute?
How many real crimes have never got to a court through a Police cover up?
Would you have the CPS make the decision not to prosecute?
Always grossly underfunded, it has only ever attracted ‘failed’ litigators.
12 men good & true is how I would wish to be judged. It certainly has its failings, but it has to be better than trial by TNUK, a £1.50 per txt poll in ‘The Sun’ newspaper, or even leaving it to the mob mentality of an angry crowd !
Is there ANYONE here who has actually sat on a jury?

Yes me. I was picked for jury service about 13 year ago and had to go to Sheffield crown court. Met up with everyone else who had been picked and in the end got picked out for a mugging and armed robbery case (scroat nicked a phone and money of a younger kid at knifepoint)
We couldn’t talk about the case to anyone and could not share views with other jury members out of court, only when we were all sat in the jury room to talk about the case could we air out views with each other. I was glad I didn’t get picked as head juror (the one who gives the verdict) but I enjoyed it very much.
I would love to be on the jury for a serious crime or murder case where it goes on for a month or longer as I would find the interesting plus work have to pay you and let you go they cannot refuse.
Also some days the judge ajurned the case midday and told us to come back the day after so I was home 5 hours earlier and still getting paid for it! The trial lasted just over the week and we found the ■■■■■■ guilty
You only find out about their past after the verdict though and this thieving scroat had done another 5 muffins before this kid.
