Hi, I run a 10 tonner and am finding restrictions in certain parts of London as it’s over 7.5t. Is there any list of no-go areas available and if there is where can I get one? Thanks
You mean a 10 tonner as in a six wheeler I presume,26 ton gross?
Most of the roads are no problem apart from the weak underground at Bank and also the restriction up the A10 and of course the new one at the M4 by hammersmith but I say this not having being in London for 6 months so old knowledge.
The residential side roads are usually marked up too but if you have a delivery and its says access then it’s no problem.
Where are you having problems?

Or he could mean a 10 tonner as in…10 ton gross
thePIEguide.com publish a book “The Official London Lorry Control Drivers Guide” it shows Height, Weight and Width limits plus speed cameras inside the M25. It is very clear for centrol area at 4inches to the mile.
As has been said the “except for access” are normally marked and you can use those roads if you require access to adjacent premises.
I paid £7.09 from Amazon.
Hope this helps.
Are there any other books you’d reccomend for drivers these days? I’ve already got the truckers atlas from last year, going to get this PIE guide for London and the Truckers Handbook. Anything else?
