In breaks I always take 16 mins 31 mins and 46 mins…ie 1 min over.
Don’t really give a toss about going under a couple of seconds, It’s more just to try not to give dicks like the o/p’s man the satisfaction to have a go at me.

Agreed, I generally take 16/17, 31/32

i dont do ‘plus 1 minute’ but i take 3breaks every shift at least :slight_smile:

We had a CPC trainer who told us that not only should we always run over by a minute, but that we should have it on other work for a following minute because if we get pulled by VOSA they will have us for working whilst on break, his logic being that in order to drive off straight from break you would have had to start the engine and put the seatbelt on and that is “work” !
Could have been worse for the OP, I know a driver who isn’t me, no sir, not me, who when running late due to a crash on the M74, pulled into Southwaite s/b for a 45 and figured he would just scrape back inside 15hrs. He (not me obviously) went for a ■■■■ and a brew, hopped into the cab and looked up to realise he hadn’t switched mode, hopped back out and paid for parking…wasn’t me honestly, I’m profeshonul you know :blush:

If I ever get a fine for one minute I will pack my rucksack at the checkpoint hand the truck keys to the nice officer and call it a day for driving. I’m too old for this ■■■■■
