Help! Was just in from a job today and everything was fine. I replaced a fuse for the interior light and then set about parking up for the night. I turned on the truck again to hear a buzz on alarm with stop and EBS warning braking system lit up. Drove down the yard and had crap brakes! How could this happen just like that? Would it have anything to do with the fuse I replaced?
Dint want to be forking out on diagnostics yet so does anyone have any ideas of help?
Thanks in advance.
Already tried disconnecting batteries and touching terminals.

This happens on Mercedes although they say it cant. The EBS overides the standard braking system.Dont know how or why.Only cure I found is either wipe off fault on diagnostic or disable EBS by disconnecting electrical feed to foot valve.Bloody dangerous and feels like you only have secondary braking.Disconnect the plug to the foot valve and see if you got full braking.Only thing is it happens at random and if you need to stop you have no chance.
Hi had this happen on a daf cf 8x4 tipper grab last year. Not a good feeling standing on the brakes and nothing much happens. After a lot of of the fault comming and going and not being able to find out what was happening the culpret was found to be a broken wire in the loom on the rear of the chassis. I always thought the idea of air bakes was if there was a fault they would lock on not fail altogether.

Sounds like the proporchanal valve to me, the valve is behind the passenger step, b4 u replace the valve check the wiring aint broke or rubbed through as cf dafs are prone to loom problems in that area
