Need help

Hi

I need to be at containerships in middlesbrough but they havent said the address as i was at work does anyone know where the garage is so i can be there ontime i have tried google but no responce

Dead easy mate… Follow the signs for Teesport … follow the dock road in under the railway bridges, to the first roundabout , take the second exit ( straight on) at the next roundabout turn left a few hundred yards there’s another roundabout again turn left follow that road up to the last turning before the railway crossing ( you will see the Containerships containers piled up any way) turn right and it will be obvious where the yard is

many thanks mate i have a trial there tomorrow

I am not claiming this address is correct but, it’s what I’ve found on web.

Its one of the best companies up here to work for - if you got a trial with them your a lucky man its very nearly dead mens shoes to get in. Pay is top end for the area- good kit and 100% legal _ I have a good informer  the wife works there

really i am glad to hear that mate i am looking forward to it

I am not joking about, it really is about as good as you will get on Teesside - I have done a bit for them over the years and the wife is on for them full time, the transport manager has her moments but is on the whole fair - they don’t extract the urine and if you tramp 5 and a half days your looking at @ 550+ pw including expenses take home. the trucks are all top end (Volvo XXl’s Mercedes Mega’s a and a couple Iveco Stralis ) and all are dealer maintained/ serviced .
they are very tight about running legal- given many years ago they had a “reputation” for being a bit free and easy with their interpretation of the laws- Today its 100% correct and you will be pulled onto the naughty step if you get it wrong
As I said it is perhaps one of the best jobs on Teesside in our industry and your a lucky man to get a look in

Do you work for them rikki or just done bits n bobs? I know a couple of people there 1 of them went there not long ago to be a TM ( I think ) or maybe just a planner lol

I’m sure they get paid by the mile aswell? And get extra for coll/del etc

I don’t work there, but done a bit of casual work for them over the years to help them out- the wife works there full time though

I think they can cut out the middlemen aswell having there own ships so can afford to pay decent wages.

yes and no  they have a guarenteed daily wage but once your over that your on mileage, certain jobs pay a bonus rate as does working out of certain docks, and they pay for reloads etc, how the wage is made up is complicated but at the end of the day they are still at the top end for the area on take home pay
