The 60 days is crap, either that or the insurance company is. My previous landlady goes to to New Zealand for 6 months every year, and her UK home is still insured as were the contents, in the house, the caravan, the garage and the shed I kept my motorcycle in. Mine was a separate flat in the grounds.If I wanted to insure all this extra stuff, I would take a look at motor home contents insurance, although anything I have had in a truck has been insured by my household cover.
I think the 60days rule is crap too, but 2 different insurance companies say the same, I was thinking motor home/caravan contents cover, but you would think that someone would offer standalone personal effects insurance, for the professional driver or any mobile worker who spends days/weeks away from home
