About 15 years ago, A30 near Okehampton.
They didn’t look at my tacho but a had a real going over my trailer. Had a slight issue with tread depth on one tyre, asked when I expected to get back to base (East Mids) and gave a delayed PG9 of 24 hours to get tyre sorted.
They were sound blokes just doing their job.
Surely a tyre is either legal or illegal, how could they let you drive away with with a defective tyre & a PG9?
