I’m curious…

Andrejs, as to why your English is so bad?

Many many languages are available on Google translate without the nonsensical grammar errors that frequent your posts. It’s like the mistakes are deliberate.

Something’s not right.

Sadly you can’t, except for the smallest of cars the mirrors would get swept off by the deck support posts, and most car mirrors are useless for viewing the position of tyres re the floor anyway, so damaged tyres and wheels too.

Whats the biggest mistake you can make?, forgetting to lower the decks on a multi drop and caning through a typical main road unmarked bridge with the loaded top deck still at full height, circa anything up to 20 ft depending what you’ve got up there.
As Judehamish says, you can forget ever relaxing concentration from now on (un)loading strapping down driving or delivering, the moment you take a breather all hell can and will break loose.

One of the simplest errors is leaving the keys for the next delivery in the last car you dropped off when on a multi drop.

Don’t rush, take your time and learn the job at your rate no one elses, do not try to keep up with the fly boys.

There’s a job just down the road from me going at BCA, all training given, different shifts offered…

8 - 10 hour shifts? I smell bs on that, and the wage doesn’t seem up to much either. It’s just 5 minutes away which would be handy as at the moment it’s an hour round trip to work.

You know my thoughts on this. Perhaps a gofundme babel fish is required.

If you can’t understand Andrejs I would suggest your English is not up to scratch - He makes himself perfectly clear in a language which is not his mother tonque. How many languages can you be as clear in ■■

What about top or most mistakes in driving car transporter.?What about difference if road hole, turning, reversing truck.

If i wrote about how many mistakes are possible it would run to a dozen pages and far too much to take in, that’s what your training period is about.
They won’t just train you and throw you in the deep end with no back up or communication, they ain’t daft.

In truth, forget everything you thought you ever knew about trucks, because what you are about to embark upon is in a different ball park completely, its like low loaders or cranes recovery work or anything else specialised, except that your load is both valuable and fragile and sticks out both ends and on top but not the sides.
Your biggest enemy is trees.

In many ways you might as well have passed your HGV test yesterday, except (assuming you are issued a typical 11+ type design of transporter) the vehicle you are going to drive requires real seat of the pants feel to keep it under control.
When you start on your own you will be tempted to put some of the heaviest and longest vehicles at the two extremes of the vehicle to, as it were, get rid of them, this will make an already awkward to control outfit multiple times worse, you arn’t driving a normal artic, the prime mover will indeed be a standard low cabbed tractor unit, but the towing hitch is behind the drive axle (lorry and drag design) and the trailer wheels are only just behind the centre line of the trailer body, so that inherantly stable semi trailer artic combination does not apply.

You need weight over the drive axle, both on the prime mover and on the front of the trailer whenever possible…so when on a multi drop and you have one heavy vehicle left for your last drop, do not not just drive onto the back of the trailer, even a 1500kg car perched on the back of an otherwise empty outfit will make it handle like an imbalanced Landrover and caravan.
If you get issued a Volvo tractor, just wait till you get a new set of drive axle tyres fitted…my mate described it best once as trying to drive a plate of spaguetti, Scanias are much more stable especially the twin steer versions.

Nowhere did…

I say I couldn’t understand what is written by Andrejs.

What I’m alluding to is, the sentence construction and glaring grammar errors appear to me to be contrived.

Andrejs…

I assume your Latvian?

Yet, I can’t speak a word of Latvian.

Whats with the Spanish inquisition though? Even if it were to be a bot, he’s only asking a question, he’s not asking for money, I don’t see what the problem is…

I’ve always found his posts to be similar in writing style/grammar errors to Dozy and we know he is a troll who deliberately writes posts full of bad grammar and spelling … coincidence??

It’s not…

The Spanish Inquistion.

I’m curious as to why when there are excellent free translation tools available, a stream of non-sensical babble continues to appear. I battered my way through Spanish and French and can hardly string a sentence together in either language but, to make the errors that Andrejs does actually requires planning as opposed to just typing away.

All I’m saying is, come on Andrejs, the games up. It’s been a fun ruse.

Pint will ibuy yuo wehn we meet and hav larf togetther.

Maybe he’s dyslexic, in which case a translator will actually work against him.

I don’t see why you think you have this guy ‘bang to rights’… I see people who are English on this very forum, writing in English just as broken, in any case, I repeat : what’s the problem?

Who was asking about glaring grammar errors…?

That’s quite…

Vociferous for your 8th post on TN.

There isn’t a problem, I’m suggesting he’s been playing a fun game and I’m calling him out on it. As you can see from other posts on this very thread, I’m not alone in my theories.

Probably you’re right, but on the off chance the lad ain’t running a scheme it comes across as unfriendly at best.
