following on from a thread that ady1 put up about damage there was a comment about drivers blocking a yard to open trailer doors.
i think this could be a good thread.
what gets my goat is drivers in a yard getting tipped then sitting there blocking the canopy or yard and buckling up their curtains, why cant they move away and let someone else to start getting tipped. i mean pull the curtains back, poles in then move to let someone else in. no what i see is slowly pull curtains back, slowly buckle up while shouting and laughing to someone then go and get notes and come back with a coffee.
friday i pulled into strensham services on the M5 south and the lorry park was full of caravans they have their own parking clearly signed but they just ignore that and park where the lorries are.
queue jumpers nothing winds me up more than standing in a queue for 10 mins only for some arrogant numpty to push in front and get served before me hence why i walked out and the shop lost my order as theyknew i was next as she had said wat would u like ?

On a similar note when you buy something in a shop and the cashier acts like your an inconvenience and you don’t get a smile or a thank you. I generally don’t go back. I also refuse to drink in a pub in Bedford when they wouldn’t serve me because I was wearing an army rugby shirt
the worse bit was i said to the guy excuse me i was next and he replied yeah yer right you were now yer after me and the girl serving ;laughed hence they lost a sale of a £11 curry went home had fried egg on fried bread not what i wanted after a 11 hour day
Shift changes, why does it take em so bloody long, or when the forkie goes for his tea break whilst in the middle of loading/unloading when you need to get up the road.
All drivers whether they be car, bus, lorry divers who can clearly see roadworks ahead then they see the 800yd marker then the 600, then 400 and then 200 and then think they have the right to squeeze past my bumper when there’s 2ft 6" left. That get me sooooooooo mad.
Car drivers from the “must be in front” club, even if they are going slower than you, they still have to get past you at a roundabout and slow you down. [zb]s
car drivers who must get infront of a truck at any expense only to then hold me up.
had plenty of that on the a9 last week, especially one woman who wanted past me so bad that she crossed the diagonals then overtook
me on a blind corner with 2 solid white lines while there was another car coming the other way…then i actually had to slow down while i was stuck behind her. if anyone knows the a9 at pitlochry witht he stupidly short bit of dual carraigeway well it was there going north right at the end.
caravans pulled by people who havnt a clue how to. eg the crew that do 30mph on a single carraigeway on a friday afternoon when your trying to get home…pull over or get on your frigging way.
Car drivers who pull out of junctions in front of you and don’t make any effort to accelerate away, causing me to slam on the anchors, should be classed as dangerous driving
Also car drivers that try and join motorways at 30mph, again should be classed as dangerous driving.
They should let truckers police the roads
when drive fills up at the pump and goes to pay orders a coffe insted of pulling forward so i can start to fil up. i allways fill up pull forward of the pumps then go and pay.
Burger vans that don’t turn up till something stupid like 8am or the ones that pick and choose what day they’ll turn up. Unless the van is there at a reasonable time for industrial estate workers ie 7am latest and unless it’s there every day then I make a point of not using it. I’ll go hungry before I use on that can’t be arsed to provide a proper service to their customers
picking up a badly loaded/strapped trailer really gets my goat. i can really do without having to spend time sorting it out, just so that i can drive off without losing everything over the side!

What about drivers who wait until they are under the canopy BEFORE undoing the buckles

ye thats really annoying finish the job then go for your break, had it other day half loaded me the fupped off for a 1 hr break took em 10 mins to finish me off after
What gets my goat is cretins who leave it until the last minute/seconds to exit motorways,we all know the sort, they cut right across you to get to the slip roadof their choice.
Special thanks to the monumental ■■■ of a Sainsburys driver who did just this to me yesterday at Jct 7 on the M3,causing me to swerve.

I think that is the thing that REALLY gets my goat. Its even worse when the drive looks across at you sat there, they must think i am sat there for a laugh! They then proceed to come out of the garage after doing what can only be descirbed as their big shop!
Another thing that gets my goat is unhelpful drivers. We are all in the same industry so know how difficult it can be, a bit of common courtesy wouldnt go a miss sometimes.
When its quiet driving and I’m doing forkie for the day… the number of drivers that expect you to stay on unpaid (overtime ban) to get them up the road. Don’t complain to ME complain to the office I dont care if it never gets loaded , your office WERE TOLD to come earlier
Also telling a driver who comes in 3rd in the que to be unloaded first thing, wants to get in front so we tell him to do other drops if you want, but DO NOT come back after 4 cos it takes a good hour to get this crap uploaded and we’re NOT gonna be doing unpaid o/t on a Friday thank you very much. Of course swans in at quarter to 5 saying I was told come back before 5. Liar [zb] off see ya Monday!
What gets on my goat is people on the A127 dual carrige way doing 35mph in lane one meaning im going to slow to be able to pull out in to lane two to overtake. Also people driving too slowly through road works the cameras are on an AVERAGE speed you numptys
