How much DO you earn?

Just to get a bit of an idea, what with all the numbers being thrown about.
Calculate your per hour wage, without any bonuses or night out payments etc.

I get £62 per week and a NI credit for 7x 12-14hr days, so less than £7 and nearer £0.50 p/hr :open_mouth:

I’ll have two stabs in the dark here.
The person on 13-14 pound an hour won’t be going on strike next month.
If you add up all the results as an average,it would be around ten quid.

35k a year for truck driving.
15k a year as an Ann Summers mould, although they don’t include me ears in the final product.

Same as me money wise but it could be upto 18 hours a day

I earn what I am happy with

Not the culture you get on faeces then? :open_mouth:

We get more per hour after 14.00 hrs and more again between 22.00 and 06,00 and if I go over 9 hrs there’s over a fiver extra per hour on top of all that too so I’ve just put the basic 06.00 to 14:00 rate down .

You need to add an option for a grand a week for the normal bullshi… um, I mean those who regard themselves as above other drivers.

More than £15! An hour. I take home £700 a week and I sleep in my own bed at night. :grimacing: I’ll be striking on the 3 rd of April with my band of brothers who are less fortunate than I. :sunglasses:

I’m saying nothing. Other than to reaffirm I have the body of a sportsman!

A darts player! Well, darts IS a sport!

Havent worked it out hourly for years, just go on net per month…

Salaried at £102 per shift. That’s it…no overtime either.

Sometimes it’s a 10 hour shift (£10.20 per hour), sometimes it’s a 15 hour shift…which works out at £6.80 per hour. :unamused:

17.30 I carry gas but I would not work on the 3rd if it brought standards up, my daughter is 16 earning 7.20 in Nando’s

£10 p/h for 40 hours, £15 p/h anything over. Average about 52 hours Mon - Fri and home every night.

Is that the rate offered to new starters as well?
Or a rate on a wrapped up contract for existing employees?

And isn’t this more how it should be? :unamused:
Not some quid an extra when you have no option but do the overtime…

The structure of the industry, along with just about all low skilled workers now, is that you’re a cost price asset, no matter the shift length, day or night.

The discord this brings to normal life isn’t of interest to business, but it certainly affects us! :open_mouth:

As I see it, and at the same time not really knowing anything about a wages council, a ruling to give all general workers decent overtime rates after 8 hours, and sizable bonus percentages doing unsociable shifts. The way it used to be!

It’ll never happen though, we’ll just keep sucking it up, so I’m off to play with my lead balloon…

Me, I’m a bit peeved at the mo because my regular ‘drive’ is on the shipyard having extensive improvements being done so have been lumbered with ‘driving’ the small one on fish farm food work where the wages are £50 per day less than I regularly get and here I only get paid for the days I actually work whereas on the big one I get paid foe each day on board whether working or not. :frowning:

I’m on a fixed weekly salary, hourly rates at the weekend, I check my salaried hour’s every few months, and it’s all ways around 63 or so hours a week, but before I started checking, I thought I was doing loads of 15’s, but when I started looking into it I’m doing more often 13’s with a short break, or 11 or 12’s with a long break, this I why I keep a diary.
