Workplace drink and drug testing

A bloke I worked with at xpo once lost his job. He was driving past a petrol station, and a member of the international community just drove out, and into my mate’s near side rear wheel on his trailer. There was no damage to the trailer. BUT, because he’d been involved in an accident, a driver was dispatched to collect the lorry, and him, bring him back to the depot (a short distance across town), and do a breathalyser and drugs test. He failed the drugs test. It showed traces of cannabis. I saw him on for Fowler Welches about 3 years later, so asked him about it. He’d smoked a joint 5 days prior at a barbeque. Poor sod lost his cushy job over one joint smoked 5 days prior. Make of that as you will.

Thanks. I believe that in most cases Common Sense is handed in at security and an obscure Company Policy takes its place until the end of shift.
