Just testing the water to see if these old pics of European heavies are of any interest, nothing modern I’m afraid.

Bring them on Fergie. The more the merrier.
Of course, you’ll have to get the okay from the forum big boss. He can be a tad tricky to please though. [emoji4][emoji4]

Johnny, I’ve spoken to him, and he only wants 20 euros a post, very reasonable I thought…
I saw that most of the photos were modern lorries, so didn’t want to get in the way with old foreign wagons…

Didn’t we settled for €50 a piece…? I’ll get me coat…

Bring it on mate, if you scroll through to the pages you’ll see enough photos of days gone by… it’s a certain Herr Sutherland that insists of posting modern stuff of a certain Swedish brand, preferably all blinged up…

Evening Dave,
You keep posting those pics mate, take no notice of Whips, anything before the year 2000 he has to google it!

Oi! I’ve driven pre-2000 wagons before, thank you very much!
Some where even fitted with a… device to change gears by hand, can you believe that…

newmercman:
Here’s another one, I got this floater out of Minnesota and dropped it in Saskatchewan yesterday, reloaded with an experimental header that’s going back to New Holland Pennsylvania, it’s a legal load, but it’s on wheels and needed to be on a low loader so they can get it off at the destination.

I’ve been looking at that second pic for a while now… and it does look like you can attach that last axle to the trailer…? Ahum… takes a while sometimes to let the penny drop…

rastone:
Might have put this on before

Tony

Can’t remember seeing it before, cheers mate

I agree the older stuff from the 60’s,70’s,80’s upto mid 90’s is what intrests me. All these new motors are boring ! :unamused:

Chris Arbon posted some pics of a Le Tourneau a few pages back.

Well done Dean, for finding that article on the Overland Train. It gives a good account of how it worked and some interesting stuff on R G Tourneau.

Fabulous technology there! I’d love to hear the sound of the 2300 bhp Detroit 2-stroke V16!
