why would you park at the border? why would you find a customs office? is it because in lala land aka planet toby croatia is not yet part of EU?

bans are here: google.fi/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=& … GE&cad=rja

You are parking up before entering the country when the driving ban starts.
Why would you enter the country when you can not drive then get a fine?
Traffic ban.com states about Croatian trucks being allowed to find a terminal and customs office under article 2.

yes, not the most up to date site now is it.

just to satisfy my curiosity, where does the “€10 to 15 parking at the border” information come from? although it has been quite some time since I did Croatia regularly, I don’t ever recall it being that much. and nowadays, since croatia is in the EU, one would imagine that the border crossings be deserted.

Hello, there are no tolls in Slovenia crossing from Trieste to Sečovlje/Plovanija. In general though, in both countries, tolls (and bridge/tunnel fees) are paid in cash or credit cards at toll booths. Since Croatia entered Schengen Area, only police control remains on border points. Goods vehicles over 7.5 tons gross are banned on that section: saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., sundays 8 a.m. to 10 p.m in high tourist season (last weekend in June to first weekend in September).
