Civil Servant Strike

I had been planning to do my class2 test in october after working my not so little ■■■■ of all summer. Then, the driver and vehicle testing people in Northern Ireland decide to go on strike. I cant do test in october now, I wanted to do it then because my birthdays in october and it would have been nice to pass on birthday (27).

Any thoughts? Advice?

I have to do it before July next yr cause i did my theory test in july 03.

Thanks guys

Can you arrange to do the test somewhere out of NI?
It might cost a bit more for flights or ferry crossing and maybe getting famillar with a new route.

Thought of that but not really flush with cash at moment. Lived in scotland for 4yrs and know my way round there quite well. Just bad timing with the strike and a bit annoyed…

Stupid question - excuse my English lack of knowledge :unamused:   , but are they on strike in the South? And is your licence valid for the North if you take the test their? Failing that, go and strike a striker  .

Oh mate, I know exactly how you must be feeling.
I failed my first test back in Feb, and my retest came through… the day before my test, all the Driving examiners walk out over here too… man, was I gutted.

I just had to wait for another date to come through.

Are the Driving Standards going to pay for your retest??.. ours did over here.

Good luck ate, hope it comes round sooner rather than later… :unamused:
