I ran it from six hills to Grantham !!! At 20 mph with hazards on , amazed
The tyre stayed on rim , I originally was just going for lay-by
But thought I’m not waiting for breakdown ( no spare & tyre
Too knackered for foam ) & just kept going & going , wore away part of
Front spoiler / wing

I guess you’ll be phoning Copart and buying a cheap spare for the boot so it doesn’t happen again.

If I had been a wooden top I would of nicked you for driving on a defected tyer

Two words my friend…

Duct tape

You really are your own worst enemy

Sprat. Remove letter as needed. They walk among us, so it’s £150 for new wheel £100 for tyre. Unles he gets a set off eBay.

When I recently bought the new car in May, it came with a space saver spare, which is something I dislike, so I searched for a new rim to substitute for it. Unfortunately because it is a new version of an existing VW model, a matching rim (18” Brescia) isn’t available 2nd hand. The dealer wanted £650+ for a new rim, plus another £100+ for a tyre, but an online main dealer had them albeit at £250 each!!!

Due to my to my long career as a limper, I tend to carry items in the boot that will enable me to deal with certain scenarios while away from home, such as flat battery, punctures, and breakdowns.
Jump leads, a battery booster pack, 12v compressor, tyre plugs, a 4m two tonne strop + shackles are among the items

Dont usually get involved with your discussions, but you wouldn’t of put a ford rim on a vauxhall, fords 4 stud are 4x108, vauxhalls 4 stud are 4x100. Also, the first pic there seems to be some photo editing done to darken it, would that be to hide the exposed cords on the inner edge? Because if it is, dont just put a new alloy and tyre on, get the tracking done too
