Using Cannabis isn’t a form of metal illness any more than Islam as a “Religion” is.
The lines of argument:
(1) Murder is wrong in all nations on the planet.
(2) TO murder someone, you tell yourself there are “Exceptions to the rule”.
(3) You warp your own philosophy to suit
(4) You allow your supporters to carry out the attack
(5) When you are accused of doing/allowing thus, you argue “I’ve got a big 250,000 mandate”. (250,000 out of a population of over 70m is NOT a “big mandate”!)
(6) If you lose votes, you accuse those who voted against you of being Racist/Homophobe/Xenophobe/Nationalist but never “Labourist” or “Criminalist”.
(7) If anyone gets even close to impeaching you, you argue “I was mentally ill at the time” or “I’ve undergone a religious conversion, and have since absolved myself”.
(8) if anyone does get busted for carrying out attacks to your orders, you make it so it is the footsoldiers that get busted - never the politicians.
All this is bankrolled by the banksters who permit or deny the very nation’s ability to go to war or not. Notice how there is never enough money for public services, but always enough to break a few heads in a country that’s done nothing wrong to our own citizens. We shouldn’t have been fighting in Afghanistan/Iraq. We should have frozen the Bin-Laden’s fortune (Saudi Citizen) and acted within Saudi Borders to make sure that only Saudi Arabia paid any kind of political price for growing terrorists like a drug dealer grows potted plants in their attic.
That our governments never seem to do the right thing with a longer view - shows just how dirty a business Politics and Banking has become in the world. Our armies bear the damage on their far-shores postings. Our citizens bear the brunt of those relations from those we’ve made our enemies closer to home. I wonder how much support our politicians would get from the electorate both Left and Right - if a future war with the Islamic establishment of Saudi Arabia were ever put to the vote?
…What we do and have done for some time since - is like walking down the street looking for the school bully to confront, - but end up punching the first baby you see instead.
Back to my OP subject - What are we going to do to stop the next attack? - Not “Prevent” it - but actually STOP it.?
These are the headlines we want to be reading over the coming weeks…
“Three Islamists were shot dead today, whilst approaching an underground station with a number of suspicious cannisters”
“Two likely lads were taken down by SO19 this morning, having pulled out knives and swords on a bus. An off-duty SO19 officer pulled his concealed weapon, and acted before members of the public could be harmed”
“A minibus full of Jihadists was brought to a standstill by a rolling police roadblock, and active-vested jihadis were shot dead in a hail of bullets before being able to trigger their devices. Officers attending have been recommended for the George Cross”
… and finally a headline I don’t ever want to be reading:
“Home Secretary Diane Abbot has been quizzed today by leader of the opposition Boris Johnson after 73 people were killed at the British Museum in the latest of a long series of terror attacks aimed at British Cultural Values. Mr Johnson demanded to know why Islamists were not prevented from entering the building, and why no one even bothered to search their backpacks. Ms Abbot referred Mr Johnson to the freshly-minted “Civil Rights Act” that prevents any non-white or non-Christian being approached by any civilian over any issue that could relate to Terrorism, Religion, or Race. Ms Abbot further warned Mr Johnson ‘that to proceed further with his clearly racist remarks would be met with punitive legal action against both him and his party, and any further criticisms of the home secretary in future - would automatically be considered a race hate crime.’ Mr Johnson was ordered to sit down and shut up by all 59 SNP parliamentarians baying at him with derision.”
