Some places provide you when means of getting back, like refunds for train fare etc.

Depends. I see lots going from Immingham docks in brand spanking new Volvos but I also see the same lot hitching back in the pouring rain. You aren’t allowed to eat or drink anything in the trucks either. It comes down to the company you are working for. Back when I was agency there was a guy I worked with who used to do trade plating. He loved it and he got brought back but the jobs he said were as rare as hens teeth.
