Call me a pessimist but I just know all this new found love and admiration for ‘key workers’ will evaporate fast when things settle. It’s happening already, with NHS staff being shafted with a pathetic pay rise. If the government think they can get away with doing that right now, and frankly with our idiotic voting public they can, I can only imagine what’s to come. Plus Truck drivers are fast returning to the pariahs we’ve been for decades.Ask a nurse or doctor what they prefer, for everyone to stand at their front door bashing pans once a week or people who vote accordingly

I dont get how a country can keep constantly giving away extra money though.
We have been giving extra money to people on benefits.
We have been paying for children to eat while at home.
We have been paying people up to £2500 to sit at home for what could be over a year now.
We have been paying for students to be given laptops.
We have given grants to the self employed.
Given business rate relief.
Given extra funding to councils to prop them up due to their funding drying up.
Spent billions on covid r&d.
the list goes on. Everyone is asking for extra money not just the NHS. I mean I am a socialist but this just makes no sense to me.
