Ref. the lorry in the background,it looks like a Fordson as suggested, and IIRC it was the F7 model.It had the side valve V8 engine of 3.7 litres.I stand to be corrected though.

Possible but wasn’t the early Pilot engine (I had one in the 50s) splash
lubricated (later ones had an oil pump) and would the early engines
have been suitable for heavy vehicles, I do know from experience I
had to change an early Pilot engine due to the “splashing paddles”
having snapped off due to over revving the engine when cold due to
the oil in those days being very thick on start up, I did get the info
about the paddles damage being caused by thick oil from a recent
publication of Car Mechanics which was very popular in those days.
