75E17 Eurocargo Overheating

Hi all,

Some advice from the techs amongst us required.

2005 75E17 Euro-Cargo, thrown all of its water out whilst on the move. Recovered to workshop and found thermostat in bits. Replaced and removed the rest of the thermostat from the return pipe to the header tank, bled system and roadtested. All ok, or so I thought.

Following day, it’s ticking over outside a customers. 1o minutes later it has thrown all it’s water out. No idea where from. It was everywhere. No overheat this time though, a steady 80 Degrees on the Temp guage - though massive pressure in the header tank.

I am thinking either Compressor head / gasket or Cylinder head gasket / head cracked. I can’t think of any other reason why it would be doing what it is.

Integrity of water pump and radiator checked and all ok.

Any suggestions? Apart from torch it

check the thermostat again, i went through 4 on my dads horsebox in quick succession, all tested faulty after 50 or so miles of use. and they where all genuine from a dealer.
